Cleavant Derricks


as Rembrandt "Crying Man" Brown
An entertainer unwittingly caught in the momentum of the initial slide on his way to sing the national anthem at a local sports event.  
Derricks began his career in the theatre, performing first with local tours before moving to Off-Broadway productions. His hard work paid off when he won a Tony Award for his performance in Dreamgirls. His additional Broadway credits include such productions as Jesus Christ Super Star, Big Deal, I Have A Dream and Your Arms Are Too Short To Box With God.

On television, Derricks has starred in such series as Drexell's Class and Whoops, and has had a recurring role on the Gene Wilder's sitcom Something Wilder. He has guest-starred on several series, including Thea, L.A. Law, Roseanne, A Different World and The Equalizer.

In film, Derricks starred in Wes Craven's Carnival of Souls. In addition, he co-starred with Robin Williams as Lionel, the Bloomingdale's security guard who befriends a Soviet defector in Moscow on the Hudson and was featured in Neil Simon's The Slugger's Wife with Rebecca de Mornay.

He is currently recording a CD of original love songs which will be available exclusively on the Internet.

Derricks currently resides in Agoura Hills, California.


 [ KARI WUHRER ]

Kari Wuhrer


as Maggie Beckett
An ex-military office who enlists with the sliders when her own dimension's Earth is destroyed.  

Wuhrer's latest screen ventures are roles in very diverse films. Most recently, she was seen in Universal's romantic comedy Kissing A Fool opposite David Schwimmer, Lakeshore Entertainment's Phoenix starring Ray Liotta and Anjelica Houston, and Touch Me with Michael Vartan and Amanda Peete. Additionally, she will soon be seen in Sand with Denis Leary and Norman Reedus, Undertaker's Wedding opposite Adrien Brody, and Kate's Addiction. Kari is currently shooting Without Gravity in Miami. Her many other film credits include the box office smash, Anaconda with Jennifer Lopez and Jon Voight; John Singleton's Higher Learning; The Disappearance of Kevin Johnson; An Occasional Hell with Tom Berenger; Sean Penn's The Crossing Guard starring Jack Nicholson; Stephen King's Thinner opposite Joe Mantegna; and Sex and the Single Man with Stanley Tucci and Ron Eldard.

Wuhrer will also be appearing as an angel in a new commercial campaign for 7-11.

The MTV vixen-turned-feature film star is also focusing on her true love, her music career. She currently has a new album Shiny out on DelFi records.

The Brookfield, CT, native moved to New York when she was eighteen to follow her passion for acting. Wuhrer was picked by the Ford Talent Agency and proceeded to study and audition in the Big Apple. Her big break came when her sexy personality caught the attention of MTV and the producers of their innovative gameshow Remote Control.

Wuhrer currently resides in Los Angeles.


 [ ROBERT FLOYD ]

Robert Floyd


as Mallory
A young man whose future is determined when a sliding vortex accident leads him to join the Sliders.  
Most recently, Floyd appeared in a featured role in Godzilla. In addition, he currently stars in several independent films including Cold Hearts, Another House on Mercy Street, Paranoia, Second Coming and Streets in the Kitchen. He also starred in Larry Ludlam's The Last Match and Anything Goes.

His TV credits include guest-starring roles on Early Edition, Law & Order, Silk Stalkings in addition to starring roles in movies of the week including The Descendant on UPN and He Didn't Come Home on CBS. He was under contract with Another World and had recurring roles in the daytime dramas All My Children and The City.

Floyd has extensive theatre credits having performed in The Able Bodied Seaman for Manhattan Class Co., Anatomy of a Love Affair for New Perspectives Company, and Macbeth for Pelican Theatre.

Floyd studied with Wynn Handman at Carnegie Hall in New York, Alice Spivak, Mervyn Nelson and John Kirby.


 [ TEMBI LOCKE ]

Tembi Locke


as Diana Davis
The young scientist whose good intentions lead to a dangerous experiment that alters two of the former Sliders.  
Locke recently portrayed "Kaylene" in the USA Networks original comedy series, Claude's Crib. She has filmed the pivotal role of "Norma" in the feature film starring Shaquille O'Neal entitled Steel. Other film credits include Unbowed, Ringer and Albert Brooks' Mother.

After landing her first television role as a recurring character on the CBS daytime soap opera As The World Turns, Locke received exposure on several successful television series including In the House, Martin, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Hangin' With Mr. Cooper, Me And The Boys and Night Stand. Locke will also be remembered for appearing on Beverly Hills, 90210, as a beauty contestant who befriends Donna.

While attending Wesleyan University, Locke spent a year and a half in Italy on a foreign exchange program. While there, she appeared in several Italian music television programs including Carnivale Di Venezia.

Locke was born and raised in Houston, Texas. In addition to speaking fluent Italian, she is a gourmet cook and enjoys running, hiking and fishing.


SEASONS 1-4  [ JERRY O'CONNELL ]

Jerry O'Connell
as Quinn Mallory Jerry O'Connell stars as Quinn Mallory, a handsome, genius college student who discovers the means of travelling to parallel universes.

O'Connell boasts an impressive credit list in both television and film, the latest of which is his star turn in NBC's miniseries The 60's. He co-starred with Neve Campbell and Courtney Cox in the successful sequel Scream 2 and appeared in Jerry Maguire with Tom Cruise and Kelly Preston.

As a young boy, O'Connell appeared in several television commercials and at the age of 11 co-starred in director Rob Reiner's hit film, Stand By Me. He also co-starred in the feature film Calendar Girl with actor Jason Priestley and played the title role in Joe's Apartment, a film based on the MTV short of the same title.


SEASONS 1-3  [ SABRINA LLOYD ]

Sabrina Lloyd
as Wade Wells Sabrina Lloyd stars as computer whiz Wade Wells, Quinn's good friend whose unrequited love is a source of tension.

A native of Eustis, Florida, Lloyd began her acting career at the age of 12 when she starred in a local production of the musical Annie. She continued her involvement in local community theatre and went on to appear in such productions as Grease, Crimes of the Heart and Wizard of Oz.

Lloyd made her first feature film appearance in Chain of Desire and subsequently starred in Father Hood with Patrick Swayze. For television, she has appeared on Law & Order and has starred in such television movies as The Coming Out of Heidi Leiter and Off Limits.


SEASONS 1-3  [ JOHN RHYS-DAVIES ]

John Rhys-Davies
as Professor Maximillian Arturo Acclaimed Welsh-born actor John Rhys-Davies stars as Professor Maximillian Arturo, Quinn's brilliant if somewhat pompous physics professor who reluctantly acknowledges his student's genius and decided that he must accompany him on the scientific ride of their lives.

Rhys-Davies is best known to film audiences for his roles in such blockbusters hits as Raiders of the Lost Ark and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. He has also had leading roles in Victor, Victoria, The Living Daylights and King Solomon's Mines.

His television credits include such well-received mini-series as James Clavell's Shogun and Noble House, Great Expectations, War and Remembrance and Archaeology.


SEASON 4  [ CHARLIE O'CONNELL ]

Charlie O'Connell
as Colin Mallory Charlie O'Connell -- Jerry's real-life brother -- stars as Colin Mallory, Quinn's somewhat naive, kind-hearted brother, raised by adoptive parents on a pre-Industrial Earth.

A recent graduate of New York University's School of Drama, Charlie also attended Strasberg Institute and Atlantic Theatre, which David Mamet started. He appeared on CBS' daytime drama Guiding Light. His theatre credits include the Richard Foreman play, Dr. Selavy's Magic Theatre with David Patrick Kelly and Opra Opera. Charlie also modeled on the runways in New York for ZOLI Model Management.

For two years, Charlie was captain of NYU's fencing team, receiving an NCAA Bronze Medal in 1994 and a Gold Medal in 1996.
